The Philonous Document

A Vatican archivist sends one email and dies at his desk. Attached: a photo of a Greek fragment, burned off mid-sentence, the first clue to an eyewitness account of Socrates’ last hours. The philosophy professor who opens it follows the trail from Athens to Chichén Itzá, and so do a cardinal’s men, who stopped everyone before him.
