Hammond (The Alacrán Series Book 1)

In a rough Buffalo neighborhood, a group of troubled, charismatic boys play basketball and dream of a high school championship. Driven by raw talent, they dominate the court—but everywhere else, they feel like losers. Told through the eyes of a precocious boy battling severe mental illness, this is a raw, darkly comic coming-of-age masterwork.
