The Trickster

A homeless man weeps over a woman’s body.  Blood flows from a deep slash in her throat and white paint coats her face. Written on a piece of paper attached to her faded and filthy clothes are a series of letters and numbers.  The police arrest the man known as Luther and find a business card belonging to private investigator Jonelle Sweet in his possession.  Identified as Susanna, the victim’s twin sister Sophia hires Jonelle to discover how and why her sibling wound up living and dying on the streets of Baltimore.  Jonelle journeys from Baltimore to Michigan to Washington, D.C., on the hunt for answers. As Susanna’s secrets are exposed, Sophia meets a similar fate.  The twists and turns of seemingly unrelated events uncover rampant deception from all those involved. Nothing is as it seems.  Two women are dead. Is Jonelle next on the killer’s list?
