The Doctor's Mail-Order Bride

Colorado, summer of 1880  Orphan Aurora McMullen has no one left in the world when her rich aunt dies and the government takes all the property left to her in the will. Penniless and homeless, she takes a chance on her future and responds to a mail-order bride ad. Her groom, Elbridge Claywood, is the only doctor in the tiny mining town of Coal Valley, in desperate need of a nurse to help with his business and a woman to fill the loneliness in his heart. But country living is vastly different from the comforts of luxury, and adjusting to the simplicity of her new world takes its toll.  Elbridge Claywood is in need of a good woman. Luckily, his best friend back in Nashville knows just the right one. He chooses her from a pile of responses to his mail-order bride ad expecting a woman eager to live in the west. Instead, his new bride desires to return home to Tennessee despite his best efforts to give her a good life. The worst of it is, he's falling in love with her.  Can Aurora and Elbridge close the gap between them caused by a good dose of homesickness and the harsh conditions of living in the west?
