Rae is an aberrant. Mother Nature in human form. She inherited the coveted knowledge of reality magic and now the magical world wants to kill her. With hostile magic practitioners living perfectly disguised as in non-magical society, Rae trusts no one. Except her dead benefactor's former guardians. One of whom is Devdan, who Rae has a mutual attraction with. When an unknown aberrant begins murdering other magic practitioners, Rae reluctantly allies with her would-be killers. Unwittingly, she unlocks secrets about why a reclusive sorcerer made her his heir and about Devdan, whose attraction may be more sinister than romantic.
