Smiling at Heaven

It's 1919 and a young soldier recently returned to his small Kansas hometown from The Great War is brutally murdered. Lloyd Hansen, another young soldier who suffers from shell-shock, is the prime suspect. Lloyd's sister, Thea, and his lawyer, Captain Gus Davis, must work together to prove Lloyd's innocence. Investigating the ordinary citizens of plain little Blessing, Kansas, will uncover shocking secrets, will reveal passions and expose lies, and in the end, Thea and Gus will learn that the human heart is capable of all sorts of surprises. Both good and bad.
