In What Remains

When Rachel and her family become the targets of a violent assault, their summer road trip descends into a nightmare. Only one thing saves her life: the possible accomplice who pulls her from the crime scene at gunpoint. Quick-tempered and dangerous, the man’s motives are questionable, but the line between captor and captive starts to cross as he pushes her through grief and into the escape that she desperately wants. She never realized, though, just how far escape could take her.
