After four centuries of absence, magic has returned. Adrienne Imlay is among the researchers who want to study magic scientifically. But In her lab, strange things start to happen: she has to rescue the soul her colleague from a railway timetable. Another scientist is building a banned machine whose blueprints are buried in Adrienne’s childhood memories. This project attracts unhealthy interest.
