Los Angeles firefighter Aaron Cancik is fighting to keep his city going after a global cataclysm causes tsunamis, ash skies, and firestorms. He and many like him are determined not to be defeated by the chaos... but then the aliens show up, claiming they will help, but clearly making a territory grab. Like most, he’s sworn he’ll get the truth out of them, but unlike most, during one tumultuous day of earthquakes, downed helicopters, and unexpected connections, he will get his chance. This day might not save his city, but it could change the world.
