Bad Seed

When slick Midwest councilman Daniel Sullivan sets foot in Heaven, the obvious occurs to him: Something has gone acutely wrong. Given an eternal home smack dab between his tragically lost love and a country singer named Johnny, Daniel can hardly believe his good fortune. When his former campaign manager arrives reeking of brimstone, he brings an awful truth with him: Daniel’s old soul has a few extra miles on it. But as they always said in the Hereafter, that was all part of the plan.
